The current developments concerning the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus represent a significant business risk for all companies in the affected regions. At Gemino, too, we have been looking for ways to continue providing our services to clients with as little disruption as possible should the situation worsen.
In this we are aided by the widespread digitalisation of our sector. Gemino has long provided nearly all of its employees with the opportunity and technical infrastructure necessary for so-called mobile working – i.e. the ability to work from home.
Over the past few days, we have extended this option to the entire Gemino team. We have expanded and upgraded our hardware to enable everyone to work from home without difficulties – even over longer periods of time. We have taken care to verify that our entire infrastructure functions correctly, also in terms of (data) security.
We are currently preparing a survey for our external translators that will include recommendations regarding the current situation. In this way, we aim to ensure the highest-possible level of independence from external forces in this area of our operations as well.
