1993 to 2013: Twenty years of translation and localization services from Gemino
Throughout 2013 Gemino employees in the Munich and Berlin offices are celebrating the twenty-year success story of their company.
Gemino began as a two-man operation in 1993 when Managing Directors Christian Schwendy and Stephan Bettzieche received their first large-scale project for FrameMaker. Twenty years and approximately 500 million translated words later, the Gemino name represents a leading language service provider with around 30 employees at two locations in Germany. Throughout this history, it has always been paramount to grow organically and keep personalized customer service central to the company’s philosophy.
Many Gemino employees have been with the company for more than ten years, and some have been on board since the company was founded. Some customers—and Gemino is particularly proud of this fact—have even been loyal to the LSP throughout its twenty-year history. And yet in the last few years, a dynamic development has taken place with the penetration of new customer segments, optimised personnel placements and improved processes. In this “jubilee year 2013”, it is worth looking back not only at these constantly changing procesees but also at 20 successful years and celebrating both achievements.
And we must naturally thank our customers in particular (perhaps with an original Bavarian gingerbread heart, see photo): Because without our customers’ loyalty, this success story would never have been possible.
