Gemino @ tekom 2016: We will be there for the first time, with a slightly different booth

This year for the first time, Gemino will be represented as an exhibitor at the tekom annual conference in Stuttgart. Our booth will offer you a surprisingly pleasant and comfortable space at the busy trade fair: the ideal environment to get to know each other over a good espresso or to have concrete working discussions. We are looking forward to a solution-oriented exchange of ideas regarding your needs for multilingual communication.

We are particularly interested in three topics for which we would like to introduce you to some interesting concepts:

The efficient integration of branch offices abroad into centralized translation processes

Many companies would like their branch offices abroad to be involved in the translation process because they can provide valuable on-site input. However, efficiently integrating branch offices often turns out to be difficult. But with webReview by Gemino it will be much easier in the future: corrections can be made in the browser at the branch offices and seamlessly integrated. This saves time and reduces risks. Translations can be easily checked in the final layout.

Minimal terminology management as a practical alternative to the company-wide roll-out of complex terminology systems

There is no doubt that multilingual terminology work is necessary. But for that the obstacles are often so high that ultimately no terminology work is done at all. In this case, we suggest terminology management “light” with the support of TermCloud by Gemino in order to simplify the introduction to terminology work. TermCloud can be used company-wide online via the web browser. It is really simple and practical, even for non-terminologists.

Optimized workflow for marketing translations in the field of tension between TM-based processes and creative freedom

We would like to combine the best of both worlds: reproducible workflows with translation memories for cost optimization and predictability and creative marketing texts which do not sound translated. How does it work? We would be happy to share our ideas with you in a personal discussion.

If you would like to talk to us about this or other topics at the tekom conference, then feel free to contact us at tekom@gemino.de. Or visit our booth 1/B12.

Christian Schwendy (Managing Director), Claudia Fricke and Sophie Stadtmann (both Translation & Localization Consulting) are looking forward to meeting you there.
