Gemino signs Charta der Vielfalt
Gemino has signed the Charta der Vielfalt, an employer initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions.
Gemino is committed to creating a work environment that is free of prejudice and guarantees the respect of all employees, regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and belief, sexual orientation and social origin.
The idea behind it: If we understand diversity as a matter of course, all employees can reach their full potential. This also promotes the diversity of ideas or products because diverse teams have been proven to produce better results.
Lisa Polster and Jaqueline Pulver have recently started overseeing the diversity concept at Gemino. They want to both promote this topic at Gemino and put it to the test. What motivated them to do so?
Jaqueline Pulver says: “Having experienced inequality and prejudice myself, it is important to me to advocate for a prejudice-free work environment. This is something I have done in the past.”
And Lisa Polster adds: “For us, as a language service provider, there is nothing more central than language itself. Since discrimination often starts with language – and can even happen unknowingly – I would like to make a special effort to promote non-discriminatory language, raising awareness and understanding.”
