International Translation Day – now recognized by the UN

This year, the United Nations has officially declared 30th September International Translation Day. The UN acknowledges the role of professional translators in connecting nations and fostering peace, understanding and development.

30th September is the anniversary of the death of Saint Jerome who translated the bible into spoken Latin and is seen as the patron saint of translators.

Anne Kriesel, Gemino Partner Manager: “Gemino would be inconceivable without our team of specialist translators. With you we have made it into the Common Sense Advisory’s top 35 in Western Europe. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for this.”
